How to Find What You Are Looking For

The latest news on specific cancers can be found on the page dedicated to that particular cancer. This profile page gives basic information about breast cancer. Also, up to ten of today’s most recent news headlines, with links out to the articles, as well as many other resources can be found on the right hand side of the page.

Up To Date Cancer News

Providing the latest breaking news about cancer is the main purpose of this site. The news headlines, and links out to the full articles, for general topics are located on the main (Home) page.

An Interactive Forum

We mean for this Web Site to be an interactive forum where you as the cancer patient, caregiver, or loved one can request information. The reply can then be shared with the cancer community, so that all may benefit. This is a page that is evolving to meet your needs. Please be patient and also share your comments about how we can improve the service. Also, do not ask for medical advice on your diagnosis or treatment! Rely on your physician for all medical advice.

Informational Videos

In their quest for cancer survival many people rely more heavily on their visual sense for learning a new subject. We provide many videos on various topics related to cancer to make it easier to understand. We have videos on some general topics such as how it starts, how it works, treatment types and options. We also have links to some of the latest technological breakthrough treatments such as nanotechnology.

Timely Articles on Cancer Topics

As stated, links to the most current news articles can be found on the right hand side of the page. These articles, however, are off site. They are programmed to open in a new tab in your browser. This will allow you to do research without losing contact with our site. We also provide our own unique articles that are written in a style that anyone can understand. Some articles originate here and some are commissioned.

Top Cancer Hospital Listings

We provide links to the home pages of the most prestigious hospitals that specialize in cancer treatment. These sites have even more resources for you, and if you are interested in them as a treatment facility, you can find admissions information also.

These links provide even more help for those seeking answers on financial, legal, and other advocacy related issues. These organizations are your advocate and can provide a wealth of useful information.

Clinical Trials Listings

You may be eligible for cutting edge treatment that is not even approved yet for general use. There is always a certain amount of risk associated with these trials, but, that risk may be acceptable to you considering your condition and the stage of cancer you are experiencing. Here is a link to a government database of approved clinical trials – use at your own risk. We do not endorse any trials. Do your homework before you decide.

Top Ten Lists

We know that, when first diagnosed, a person is overwhelmed with questions they need answered. To ease this beginning period we provide some top 10 lists to answer some of those questions and hopefully relieve some of your anxiety. An example is the Top 10 things you need during cancer treatment.

Cancer FAQ

Like the Top Ten Lists mentioned above, the FAQ is aimed at answering some of those pressing questions that you will have after you are first diagnosed.

We are relying on you and other Cancer News Daily users to ask those questions and then we will post them, along with the answers, for everyone to see. Please do not ask advice about your condition. You should ask your physician those kinds of questions. We are not medical doctors!

In your search for information on a particular topic you should first use the search box at the top of the website header. Hopefully, you will already be able to find what you are looking for in the FAQ. Then, if you can’t find a satisfactory answer, just type in your question in the comment box on the FAQ page. You don’t need to leave your name. We will answer your question as soon as we can.

At first, The Cancer FAQ will be sparsely populated, but, as more questions are asked, you should be able to find what you need quickly and at any hour of the day.

Cancer Glossary

We intend to compile a glossary of Cancer related terms, defined in common language that anyone can understand – not a lot of unintelligible medical terms. This is a project that will take some time. At first we will have terms like stem cells, oncology, nanotechnology, metastasis, etc. If you have a word that you would like to be included leave a comment and we will define it for you. Please be patient as we compile this list.

Our Recommended Book List

We will write book reviews of our favorite Cancer books. You can search the internet for the best price if you like. But, you will also have the opportunity to “link out” and buy these books if you so desire using our affiliate links. Typically we use Amazon.com because they generally have the greatest selection and the best price. If you purchase a book from our link, we will get a small portion of the sale. This will help us to maintain this site. Your financial help in this manner will be greatly appreciated!

Your Support is Requested

Please leave positive or negative comments on the site. Please interact with us so that we can build a better site. And please use our advertisers and sponsors. We do accept advertising on this site. We hope that it is not too intrusive, i.e., that it does not detract from your research. We do not endorse these advertisers unless we specifically state that on this site. That being said, we have a great bunch of advertisers, so please investigate them further. As with the book sales, these advertisers will modestly compensate us just for getting you to check them out and by buying something from them. So, please be open minded and generous.
